Bio

Rob is a Product designer working in the commercial sector, Academic research and as a university lecturer/tutor. He works within the fields of utilitarian international manufacture, design research and education.

Rob was trained at the Royal College of Art, MA (Design Products). He now works as a freelance designer and consultant for local and internationally renowned companies and brands. This is combined with lecturing Degree students at Brunel and Ravensbourne.

His main interests are in user interactions, responding to participant observations and creating user orientated proposals. He runs design workshops intent on educating and utilising design approaches to suit commercial or academic situations.

Commercial Projects: DMR mountain bike components, d3o impact materials, MOD, Puma, Capulet, Rib cap, Six Six One, Team GB, Google, HCI tools, Unilever, packaging and Consumer electronics.

Research Projects: Interaction Research Studio Goldsmiths, Newcastle University design interventions.

Educational Projects: Victoria and Albert Museum, The Arts council, BBC, Google, HCI tools
